WHO IS FRANKI AUGUST?

I was born in Cape Town South Africa. My family and I moved to New Zealand when I was pretty young and then I hoped the ditch over to South Australia.
Having a muso father, I was surrounded by music and singing along to the likes of Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman, James Taylor, Cat Stevens (and many other legends!), from a young age.
Through the years I found a wide range of genres and musicians, falling in love with the magic that is music even more!
In school I was in a band as a drummer for a while, but soon discovered that I loved the storytelling of songwriting and so was drawn to guitar as a means to put my stories into music.
I’ve never had any formal or classical music training, I’ve learnt by doing and continue to do so everyday!
